A job tracking pipeline template generator gives you a repeatable set of stages and fields so you can see where every application stands—without rebuilding a spreadsheet from scratch.
What is a Job Tracking Pipeline Template?
A job tracking pipeline template is a structured workflow for managing your job search like a pipeline: each role moves through defined stages (for example, Applied → Interview → Offer → Accepted).
In JobShinobi, the pipeline is grounded in the statuses you can actually use in the Job Application Tracker UI:
- Applied
- Interview
- Offer
- Rejected
- Accepted
This template approach helps you stay consistent, measure progress, and keep “next steps” obvious—especially when you’re managing dozens of applications.
How to Use JobShinobi’s Job Tracking Pipeline Template
Step 1: Sign in and open the Job Application Tracker
To save and manage your pipeline in JobShinobi, sign in (Google OAuth), then go to:
- Dashboard → Job Application Tracker (
/dashboard/job-tracker)
This page is your working “pipeline board” in table form.
Step 2: Add your first applications (manual pipeline setup)
Click Add Application and enter:
- Job Title
- Company
- Status (Applied / Interview / Offer / Rejected / Accepted)
Save. Repeat for the roles you’re applying to this week.
Tip: If you’re starting from scratch, add everything as Applied, then update statuses as new emails arrive.
Step 3: (Optional) Auto-track by forwarding emails (Pro required)
JobShinobi supports email-forwarding based job tracking for Pro members.
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Email Forwarding (
/dashboard/settings) - Copy your unique forwarding address (ends with
@parse.jobshinobi.com) - Forward job-related emails (application confirmations, interview invites, rejections, offer emails)
JobShinobi uses AI to extract structured details from the email and create/update your job application entry. Depending on what’s in the email, it may also capture fields like:
- location
- salary
- job URL
- additional notes
Important: Email ingestion/processing is explicitly Pro-gated in the API (non‑Pro requests are rejected).
Step 4: Move applications through your pipeline stages
As your search progresses, update entries:
- Open the row menu → Edit
- Change Status
- Save
This is how your pipeline stays accurate—and how your analytics remain meaningful.
Step 5: Export your pipeline to Excel (.xlsx)
Click Export in the tracker to download:
job_applications.xlsx
This export is helpful for sharing with a mentor, keeping backups, or doing your own spreadsheet analysis.
