I can’t proceed to a competitor-verified comparison yet because the competitor is still undefined (Competitor: “Competitor”), and the only competitor research file available (competitor.md) is about SEO platforms (Semrush/Ahrefs/Moz)—not job application trackers.
What I did with tools (and what blocked further verification)
- read_file: I successfully read
product.mdandcompetitor.md.
Attempts to read the underlying code paths referenced insideproduct.md(e.g.,src/app/page.tsx,src/lib/emailParser.ts) failed with “Report not found”, which indicates those files are not present/accessible in this workspace—so I can’t extract additional on-page copy or implementation details beyondproduct.md. - web_search: I ran multiple searches to identify likely job-tracker competitors and pricing/review sources (Teal, Huntr, Simplify, etc.).
- analyze_competitor_page: I successfully analyzed Huntr and Simplify pages. Teal pages returned HTTP 403, so I can’t verify Teal’s on-page claims via
analyze_competitor_pagein this environment (I can still use web_search snippets + third-party sources, but that’s weaker than first-party verification).
Critical blocker: which competitor should this page compare against?
Please reply with one of the following so I can lock the competitor and complete verification properly:
- The exact competitor name + URL you mean, or
- Pick one: Huntr (huntr.co), Simplify (simplify.jobs), or Teal (tealhq.com)
Once you confirm, I’ll continue tool-based verification specifically for that competitor (pricing page, feature page(s), and review sources) and then write the full markdown comparison page.
